Leading transport glass and fabrication specialists Dellner Glass Solutions has announced the purchase of the 7,500 sqm premises of Dellner Romag in Consett, County Durham.

In support of Dellners strategy to expand its product offering to achieve the company's growth target, the purchased property provides the opportunity for optimising Dellner Glass Solutions portfolio of transports glass, specialist architectural glass, and its recently acquired museum showcase business.

CEO Mikael Petersson said: “The Dellner family has expanded over the last three years. We are committed to ongoing growth and innovation within all business units, and I am pleased that we have cemented the future of the Consett facility through the purchase of the Dellner Romag building. This is a significant investment for the Dellner Group and it further secures the Plant in the Dellner portfolio.

“Processing complex glass shapes and compositions comes as second nature to the team in Consett.  Alongside the long standing transport glass production and well-established specialist architectural business, we recently added the museum showcase offering to the UK and European market through the acquisition of the Armour Systems brand.  All of these innovative products are now produced in the Consett facility, demonstrating our capabilities to work at scale and to specialist levels. We look forward to exciting prospects for Consett and the wider community.”
